These leads have typically been vetted by the sales team and have expressed a desire to learn more about the product or service. For example, a person who has requested a demo or spoken with a sales representative is a sales qualified lead.
In simpler terms, marketing qualified leads are people who have shown some interest in a company’s product, while sales qualified leads are people who are more likely to buy the product.
